AI CareerPro is a beta career platform offering:

• AI Resume Review — diagnostic feedback on your resume
• Guided Build — AI-assisted resume creation through smart questions
• Quick Build — manual resume builder with templates
• Job Match — fit scoring against a job posting
• Career Transition — transferable-skills mapping
• Cover Letter generation
• Resume Translation (English ↔ Arabic)
• ATS Score and four-pillar diagnostics

2.1 Information you provide

• Account information: name, email, password (hashed)
• Resume content: work experience, education, skills, contact details, photo (optional), and anything you upload or type into the builder
• Job descriptions: job postings you paste for matching analysis
• Career goals and preferences: information you provide during guided flows

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited
• Usage data: features used, AI generation counts, error logs (without personal content)

2.3 Information we do NOT collect

• Payment information (the service is currently free during beta)
• Data from third-party social accounts unless you explicitly connect them

We use your information solely to:

1. Provide the service (generate resumes, scores, suggestions)
2. Send AI processing requests (see Section 4)
3. Improve the service based on usage patterns
4. Communicate with you about your account or important updates
5. Detect abuse, fraud, or technical issues

We do NOT:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use your resume content for advertising
• Share your data with employers without your explicit action

When you use AI features (Resume Review, Guided Build, Job Match, Career Transition, Cover Letter, Translate, ATS Score), your input is sent to third-party AI providers for processing:

• Google (Gemini API) — primary AI processing
• Anthropic (Claude API) — secondary AI processing (when applicable)

These providers process your data under their own terms. We configure our API requests to request that providers do not retain or use your data for model training where such options are available. However, we cannot fully guarantee third-party data handling.

What this means for you: do not include extremely sensitive information (national ID numbers, banking details, medical records) in your resumes or job descriptions.

We use only essential cookies required for:

• Authentication (keeping you logged in)
• Security (preventing CSRF attacks)
• Language and theme preferences

We do not currently use advertising or marketing trackers.

• Your data is stored on Supabase servers (hosted on AWS) with encryption at rest.
• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
• Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
• While we apply reasonable security measures, no online service is 100% secure. You use the service at your own risk during this beta period.

• Active accounts: we retain your data as long as your account is active.
• Inactive accounts: accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be deleted with prior email notice.
• Deleted accounts: upon deletion request, data is removed within 30 days from primary systems and 90 days from backups.

You have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: update inaccurate information
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: object to certain processing activities
• Withdraw consent: stop using AI features at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at customerservice@aicareerpro.ai with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

AI CareerPro is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

If you access the service from outside the country where our servers are located, your data may be transferred internationally. By using the service, you consent to such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
